Hospitality marketing for more bookings

A hospitality marketing agency for restaurants, bars, venues and events, measured through to the reservation. From an agency that runs an events company itself and knows what an empty evening costs.

Why Stijgt

Hospitality marketing from an agency that is in events itself

Alongside Stijgt we run Djunes, our own photo booth and event hire company. We built it from nothing into a business with more than ten employees and a top 5 position in photo booth hire in the Netherlands. We did, and still do, the marketing ourselves.

Djunes lives off the same things as your business: parties and company outings, a season with peaks and troughs, groups that send an enquiry first and reviews that decide the choice. So we know how to fill a diary, how to turn an enquiry into a booking and how to show Google which campaign really brings in revenue.

We apply that approach for restaurants, bars, beach clubs, venues and event organisers. What works at Djunes, we test with our own money first.

What makes hospitality different

Six things an ordinary agency misses

A restaurant is not an online shop. Treat restaurant marketing as if it were about products in stock and you fill the wrong days and measure the wrong things.

  • 01

An empty table on a Tuesday never comes back

Friday and Saturday fill up by themselves. Marketing therefore has to target the days, times and weeks that are still empty: weekday lunch, the first Sunday of the month, the low season.

  • 02

Weather and season decide how busy you are

A terrace, beach club or ice cream parlour lives off the sun. Anyone who only starts advertising once the sun is out is too late. Bids and budget should move with the weather forecast and the season.

  • 03

Google Maps is your most important shop window

For “restaurant” plus a place name, the map of local businesses sits above the regular search results. Your Google Business Profile, reviews, photos, menu and opening hours decide who gets chosen there.

  • 04

The reservation happens in another system

Your guest books through a reservation system, a widget or the button in Google. Without a link to GA4 and your ad platforms, you do not know which campaign really fills tables.

  • 05

    Groups and companies ask differently

A company outing, staff party or family dinner starts with an enquiry, not a reservation. That is where the biggest revenue per booking is, and where most of it leaks away through slow or incomplete follow-up.

  • 06

Without a working cookie banner you measure nothing

Many hospitality sites have a cookie banner that blocks all measurement, or no banner at all. In both cases your figures are wrong and Google Ads is optimising on guesswork.

Who it is for

For every business that welcomes guests

Whether you run a restaurant, a beach club or a party venue, the pattern is the same. A limited number of tables or days, a diary that has to fill up and guests who search by place, occasion and moment.

Our approach

How we tackle marketing for hospitality

  • 01

    Baseline

We map where your reservations and group enquiries come from now, which days and periods stay empty, how your Business Profile is doing and whether your measurement and cookie banner are correct.

  • 02

    Season and occasions

Together we decide which times of day, seasons, events and occasions come first. We align pages, budget and campaigns to that, per location.

  • 03

Execution and measurement through to the reservation

Business Profile, SEO, Google Ads and social go live with measurement that runs through to the reservation or group enquiry. Accelerated with AI, checked by a strategist.

  • 04

    Adjusting on empty days

Every week we look at what works. What brings in reservations gets more budget, and we move with the weather, the season and your events calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about hospitality marketing

What exactly is hospitality marketing?

Everything that makes guests find, choose and book your business: your Google Business Profile and reviews, local visibility in Google and in AI search engines, Google Ads and social advertising around your quiet days and your events, and a website where booking a table or sending a group enquiry takes just a few steps. At Stijgt this always comes with measurement that runs through to the reservation.

You run an events company yourselves. What use is that to hospitality?

Djunes, our own photo booth and event hire company, runs on the same dynamics as hospitality: a diary that has to fill up, seasonal peaks, parties and company outings that come in through an enquiry, and reviews that decide the choice. We have been doing that marketing ourselves for years, with our own money. The approach that works there, we translate to restaurants, bars, beach clubs and venues.

Do you also work for my competitors?

No. We work for at most one client within the same industry and region. What we research and build for your business, we do not use for the restaurant two streets away.

How do I get more bookings through Google?

Start with your Google Business Profile: complete opening hours, an up-to-date menu, good photos, a working booking button and a steady flow of reviews that you respond to. Also make sure your website is found per location and per occasion, for example for “lunch”, “terrace” or “afternoon tea” with your place name. Google Ads then fills the days that are still empty.

Can you measure reservations from my booking system?

In most cases, yes. We first look at how your reservation system or widget works and then link the reservation to GA4 and your ad platforms. Where a direct link is not possible, we measure the click through to the system and the group enquiry, and work with what those are worth on average.

How do I promote events and themed evenings?

With social advertising around the moment people make plans, targeted at your own region, and with a page of its own for each event on your site that is also found through Google. People who booked before or follow you, you reach again with remarketing. That is how you fill a music night or wine tasting without starting from scratch every time.

How do I get more group bookings and company outings?

Give groups, company outings and parties their own page with packages, capacity and a short enquiry form, and make sure that page is found for the search terms companies and organisers use. After that, follow-up is what counts: respond quickly, ask straight away for the date and number of people and send the proposal yourself. That is where most revenue is won or lost.

What does hospitality marketing at Stijgt cost?

You pay a one-off set-up fee and then a fixed amount per month for management, which you can cancel monthly. For Google Ads we recommend an advertising budget of at least € 500 per month. In a free intro call we give an honest estimate for your business.

How quickly will I see results?

A cleaned-up Google Business Profile and Google Ads often bring the first extra reservations within a few weeks. SEO takes longer, a few months, but delivers more lasting growth. The best moment to start is well before your busy season or your events period.
